it's been about a week since my first post went live and i've been a bit all over the place, studying things that don't quite fit together nicely.

i think my next post will probably be related to pointers and gaining a fundamental understanding of manual memory management in C, OR a post on the SpringBoot framework. see what i mean by these concepts not really fitting together nicely? lol

either way, i should have a couple of interesting blog posts up in the next few days :)

i recently made my first blog post on programming languages, specifically implementations of programming languages, as i think it's a good intro to the area of cs i'm getting increasingly interested in. probably going to dive deeper into JIT compilers next and maybe some C programming so stay tuned!

it's been a while since i've written html and css manually. having said that, it's also been a while since i built anything from the ground up really, so i've decided to ditch the framework and ai slop and go back to first principles. this site is going to serve as a learning resource, not just for myself but for anyone that may come across it.

i've been a professional developer for around three years now, and one thing that reallyyy bugs me is just how much abstraction away from foundational cs concepts there is in my day-to-day work, and perhaps that's the nature of application-level swe, but it's not something i'm comfortable getting comfortable with. this blog/site/whatever it may become in the future will serve the purpose of satiating that itch and need for deep understanding that i feel within myself, and perhaps if you come across it - it just might scratch that itch for you too.

i'm going deep on C, C++, OS concepts, compilers & interpreters and perhaps playing around with some graphics programming. everything i learn i'm going to be documenting in an ELI5 fashion, and i think i'm pretty good at explaining things if i do say so myself. so if that stuff is your drug, stick around, i'll be making ordered blog posts, so anyone can follow along easily, peace!
